The Plymouth Planning Board

Attending Planning Board Meetings

Under current State guidelines, some of the provisions of the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §18, have been suspended by the Governor, meaning that meetings may be held in so-called hybrid fashion (both in-person and via use of on-line services such as Zoom).  The Planning Board is continuing to hold meetings this way, so for those who do not want to/are unable to come in person, here is how to attend 'virtually':

Download the “Zoom” meeting application, go to the Town website, https://www.plymouth-ma.gov, then click on Agendas and Minutes, find the Planning Board, and then the meeting date.  The agenda has the link and login information.  It can also be found below on the Agenda with Explanations.

The Planning Board may be broadcast on Local Seen (formerly PACTV) but that is dependent on other conflicting events.

Public Comment

Public comment is limited at Planning Board meetings to certain agenda items only.  It is not permitted on any administrative matter.  It is permitted for all designated "Public Hearings", which include items such as subdivision approval, and by practice has been allowed for requests for Special Permits.  Otherwise, whether public comment is allowed is discretionary as decided by the Planning Board Chair.   To review the full Planning Board Public Comment Policy click on the link below and go to Public Comment Policy in the "Documents" section.
